THE DIRECTOR

From independent cinema and cult horror to comedy and digital storytelling, Jack Perez has built a career that moves comfortably across genres, formats, and generations of filmmaking.

His work spans the early found-footage territory of America’s Deadliest Home Video, the outrageous genre spectacle of Mega-Shark vs. Giant Octopus, and the darkly comic world of Some Guy Who Kills People. Beyond feature films, he created CineFix, a movie channel that grew to more than three million subscribers, and wrote and directed Fear Force Five, a web series with more than 70 million views.

An award-winning writer and director and member of the DGA and WGA, Perez has also shared his experience with emerging filmmakers through more than a decade of teaching directing and writing at the university level.
